Isle of Wight fossil reveals Europe's first megaraptoran dinosaur
A new species of predatory dinosaur has been discovered on the Isle of Wight by a research team led by University College London. The fossil belongs to a group of agile, two-legged carnivores known as megaraptorans. Measuring the size of a large tiger, this newly identified creature represents the first time a megaraptoran has been documented in Europe, expanding our understanding of dinosaur migration and diversity during the Cretaceous period.
