Colorful Fruit Salad
A vibrant, refreshing, and naturally sweet treat that kids and adults will both adore.
Ingredients
- •2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- •2 cups seedless green grapes, halved
- •2 kiwis, peeled and diced
- •1 cup fresh blueberries
- •2 bananas, sliced
- •1 large orange, juiced
- •1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- 1
Wash all the fresh fruits thoroughly under cold running water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Prepare the fruits by hulling and quartering the strawberries, halving the green grapes, peeling and dicing the kiwis, and slicing the bananas just before mixing to prevent browning.
- 3
In a small bowl, whisk together the freshly squeezed orange juice and honey to create a light dressing.
- 4
Combine all the prepared fruits in a large mixing bowl.
- 5
Drizzle the orange juice and honey mixture gently over the top of the fruit.
- 6
Toss everything together very carefully so the delicate fruits do not mash.
- 7
Serve immediately in colorful bowls or chill in the refrigerator for twenty minutes before serving.
💡 Chef tips
- Add the sliced bananas right before serving to keep them from turning brown and mushy.
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup if you prefer a different sweetness profile.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one day.
✅ How it should turn out
The finished fruit salad is a vibrant rainbow of colors with a bright, citrusy aroma and a naturally sweet, refreshing taste.
