Haredi Torah Leaders Launch Northern Campaign for Elections
Prominent ultra-Orthodox rabbis and heads of major yeshivas embarked on a comprehensive tour across northern Israeli towns, holding mass rallies to rally public support and emphasize the religious urgency of voting in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Addressing thousands of followers in Harish, Haifa, and Afula, the spiritual leaders underscored that maximizing electoral strength is essential for preserving the independence of religious educational institutions and defending traditional lifestyles against political opposition. Speakers at the events highlighted the perceived threats to the Torah world, urging every eligible voter to fulfill their civic and religious duty without exception. Emphasizing a traditional philosophical approach of focusing on personal effort rather than outcomes alone, the leaders framed the ballot box not merely as a political choice, but as a vital stand for heavenly honor and the continuity of Torah study.
