A new study from Virginia Commonwealth University reveals that young adults increasingly trust physician-influencers on TikTok. These followers often view social media doctors as more accessible and credible than their traditional healthcare providers. Alarmingly, the research highlights that Gen Z users rarely verify the medical credentials of these influencers. Furthermore, this trust persists even when the doctors are actively selling products on their channels.
