Chacarra leads as McIlroy fades before play halted

Eugenio Chacarra has taken command at the DP World India Championship, extending his lead during the third round. The Spanish golfer is currently performing strongly as he aims to climb the Race to Dubai rankings, putting pressure on his competitors at the Delhi Golf Club. McIlroy supports PGA Tour return for LIV players

Rory McIlroy has stated that he would vote to allow LIV Golf defectors back onto the PGA Tour, marking a significant shift in his stance. Once one of the breakaway circuit's fiercest critics, the world number two now believes LIV is no longer a threat to traditional golf. Speaking in New Delhi, McIlroy pointed to ongoing financial uncertainty, potential bankruptcy, and player departures like Jon Rahm as signs of LIV's waning influence. Despite past tensions, he argues that welcoming top players back is ultimately beneficial for the business of professional golf.
