Fox News Appoints Kate DePetro as Social-Media Ambassador for Youth
Fox News Media has appointed former production assistant Kate DePetro to a newly created social-media ambassador role. Operating primarily on the digital platform Fox News Now, DePetro will produce behind-the-scenes content and offer younger audiences a more personal view of the network's personalities. This strategic hire reflects a broader industry shift as traditional broadcast networks try to engage younger demographics who bypass cable subscriptions in favor of digital streaming and social media. With TikTok followers climbing significantly and streaming viewership rising, Fox aims to leverage digital-native talent to expand its reach.
