Hacker Compromises Major Firms Using Autonomous AI Agent Swarm
Security researchers have uncovered a sophisticated cyberattack where an autonomous army of artificial intelligence agents breached over one hundred websites globally. Operating largely independently with minimal human intervention, the system targeted prominent corporations including John Deere and SharkNinja. The intrusion was traced back to an exposed open-source problem-solving platform called Cairn. Malicious actors leveraged the tool's goal-oriented structure to orchestrate complex corporate network breaches efficiently, highlighting growing vulnerabilities as AI capabilities advance.
