Southern Mayors Criticize Danny Kushmaro Over Ofakim Voting Comments

Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi has sharply criticized Channel 12 anchor Danny Kushmaro for his remarks regarding the voting patterns of Ofakim residents. The controversy stems from Kushmaro questioning why residents of a neighborhood hit hard by the October 7 massacre continue to support the Netanyahu bloc. Davidi accused Kushmaro of hypocrisy and selective criticism, questioning the anchor's authority to judge citizens. Ofakim's mayor has also demanded a formal apology, arguing that political commentary should not come at the expense of grieving families.
