From nonmagnetic to magnetic: A 2D semiconductor
Researchers from the National University of Singapore, in collaboration with international institutions, have demonstrated a novel method to introduce magnetism into an otherwise nonmagnetic two-dimensional semiconductor. By utilizing an electrical voltage, the team successfully controlled the magnetic properties of the atomically thin material, opening new pathways for advanced spintronic applications.
