Defence lawyer in Cornell case calls for special prosecutor removal
The legal defense team for one of the men accused in the Cornell University gang rape case has officially requested the removal of New York Attorney General Letitia James as special prosecutor. The request follows a public social media post made by James regarding the allegations. The controversy intensifies institutional pressure on both the state prosecutor and Cornell University leadership as the campus faces widespread protests and a forthcoming faculty no-confidence vote.
