Simulated Moon Soil and Recyclable Thermoplastics for Space Building
Transporting materials from Earth to the moon is prohibitively expensive, costing over $1 million per kilogram. To establish a permanent human presence, researchers are exploring the use of in-situ resources. A new study investigates combining simulated lunar soil with recyclable thermoplastics. This method could enable the construction of durable space infrastructure without relying on costly Earth-bound supply chains.
