Judge Throws Out Timothy Busfield Indictment on Child Sex Abuse Charges
A New Mexico judge dismissed an indictment against actor Timothy Busfield on Friday, ruling that prosecutors failed to act impartially during grand jury proceedings. Busfield had been accused of groping a child actor on the set of the Fox television series "The Cleaning Lady" in 2022. Judge Joseph Montano found that prosecutors improperly blocked the grand jury from hearing from defense witnesses waiting in the hallway. Busfield has consistently maintained his innocence, and prosecutors are currently reviewing their options regarding a potential new indictment.
