CIA Officer Pleads Guilty to Stealing $190M via Fake Program
A former CIA officer, David J. Rush, has pleaded guilty to wire fraud after admitting he created a fake top-secret government program to siphon nearly $200 million. Rush exploited his position to fabricate a special access program under the guise of a continuity-of-government plan. Authorities seized millions in luxury assets during his arrest, including over $46 million in gold bars, luxury vehicles, watches, and cash. The plea deal allows Rush to avoid a public trial that might have exposed severe vulnerabilities in federal vetting and oversight.
