An early flu season means it might be time to think about a flu shot
Flu season typically follows a predictable timeline, usually starting to pick up momentum around October or November in many regions. However, health observations indicate that the influenza virus has begun circulating earlier than usual this year, with activity picking up as early as September. This unexpected shift suggests that individuals should consider getting their annual flu shots sooner than they might have originally planned. Public health officials emphasize that early vaccination is one of the most effective strategies to protect against severe illness and reduce community spread.
