Deadly fire at Canadian military base: What we know so far
A massive fire swept through the Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta, resulting in at least four confirmed deaths and dozens of serious injuries. Prime Minister Mark Carney called it one of the worst peacetime tragedies in the nation's military history. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fast-moving blaze, which was fanned by high winds during a live firing exercise. While initial reports suggested a struck gas main, defense officials have ruled out terrorism.
