Blue light could cut food poisoning from raw chicken
Scientists at the University of Reading have discovered that low-power blue light could significantly reduce food poisoning caused by raw chicken in the U.K. Campylobacter remains the most common cause of bacterial food poisoning globally. In the U.K. alone, hundreds of thousands of cases occur annually, resulting in estimated costs of £700 million every year in healthcare expenses and lost productivity.
