Chuck Lorre Recalls 'Malice' Working on Roseanne Barr's Sitcom
Legendary television producer Chuck Lorre recently opened up about his early career experience writing for the hit ABC sitcom 'Roseanne.' He described the work environment as filled with 'malice' due to the star's deep resentment toward the writing staff. Lorre explained that he endured the difficult conditions primarily out of financial necessity. He noted that Roseanne Barr struggled with the transition from stand-up comedy, where she controlled all her own material, to the collaborative nature of a television writers' room.
