Extinct Bovine Species Discovered in Siberia
Recent DNA analysis of ancient remains discovered in southern Siberia has uncovered a previously unknown, extinct bovine species. This animal lived during and before the last ice age. Researchers found that this extinct creature was related to modern yaks but diverged onto a separate evolutionary path hundreds of thousands of years ago.
