Are SPFL away ticket prices too expensive? And is price cap on agenda?
Football fans across the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) are facing mounting financial pressures as away match ticket prices continue to rise. With adult tickets reaching up to £34 for certain fixtures, supporters argue that the costs are becoming increasingly unaffordable amidst a broader cost-of-living crisis. While Scotland boasts one of the highest attendance rates per capita in Europe, fans and supporter groups are questioning whether these high prices threaten that engagement. Discussions around implementing an away ticket price cap have intensified, though opinions remain divided on how clubs balance operational costs with fan accessibility.
