Royal Mail plans to cut 2,500 head office jobs
Royal Mail has announced a restructuring plan to cut 2,500 head office and support jobs by the end of 2027. The company states that frontline postal workers, including posties and drivers, will not be affected by these proposed reductions. The cuts represent approximately 2% of the company's total workforce of 131,000 employees. Royal Mail aims to improve overall operational efficiency through voluntary redundancies and natural attrition.
