‘Other Mommy’ Review: Jessica Chastain’s Horror Misfires
Rob Savage’s new horror film, ‘Other Mommy,’ stars Jessica Chastain as a demonic doppelgänger haunting a young girl and her family. Adapted from the novel ‘Incidents Around the House,’ the movie relies heavily on repetitive jump scares and a frantic tone. Despite a promising premise touching on themes of family deceit, critics note that the film misfires in tone, perspective, and character development, offering little genuine suspense or terror.
