Brad Bird Explains Why He Brought 'Ray Gunn' to Skydance
Renowned director Brad Bird has opened up about his decision to take his upcoming animated project, 'Ray Gunn', to Skydance Animation rather than Pixar. Bird argues that creating animated films targeted at teens and adults should not be viewed as a controversial creative choice. The film, which is set to premiere on Netflix via Skydance Animation, highlights the evolving landscape of the animation industry. Bird's move underscores a growing desire among veteran creators to explore mature storytelling themes outside of traditional family-oriented studio pipelines.
