Hungarian MPs scrap Orbán's anti-LGBTQ measures
The Hungarian parliament has voted to amend child protection laws, removing measures that previously stigmatized gay and transgender individuals. Activists have welcomed the decision, though they continue to advocate for reforms to other restrictive laws from the Orbán era. Following the legislative changes, the European Union agreed to release €4.2 billion in previously frozen funds, acknowledging improvements in Hungary's rule of law under the new government led by Prime Minister Péter Magyar.
