Netanyahu sought meeting with Rabbi Tao to get Noam to withdraw
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently attempted to coordinate a meeting with Rabbi Zvi Tao, the spiritual leader of the Noam party, in an effort to convince him to withdraw the party from the upcoming Knesset elections. However, the rabbi refused the meeting, blocking Netanyahu's attempt to prevent the party's independent run. Alongside this effort, Netanyahu's associates are reportedly pressuring other small right-wing parties and candidates to drop out, fearing that votes for parties failing to pass the electoral threshold will be wasted and harm the right-wing bloc.
