Thousands of security personnel deployed as Delhi braces for protest
Delhi has been turned into a fortress with tens of thousands of security forces deployed ahead of a major protest organized by the Gen Z-led "cockroach" movement and the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). The protesters are demanding electoral reforms and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged voter list manipulation. Authorities have denied permission for the rally, closing roads, canceling trains, and shutting down dozens of metro stations to prevent crowds from gathering. Despite the heavy police presence and travel restrictions, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke vowed to march to Jantar Mantar regardless of the consequences.
