Boxing Biopic 'In the Shadows' Rescued by Producers After Distributor Collapse
The producers of the upcoming British boxing biopic "In the Shadows" have executed a successful last-minute rescue of their film following the collapse of its original U.K. distributor, True Brit Entertainment. Facing a sudden loss of distribution and marketing funds just weeks before its scheduled premiere, the creative team rallied their financial backers and industry allies. Thanks to additional financial support from executive producers and logistical aid from global sales agent Altitude Films, the movie will now be self-released in the U.K. The biographical feature, which chronicles the remarkable life of trailblazing British-Somali boxer Ramla Ali, is set to premiere at the BFI London Film Festival.
