Hiyd is a health tracker that attaches to the watch you wear
Former Apple engineers have launched Hiyd, a health-tracking startup designed to integrate seamlessly with traditional timepieces. Founded by Salah Batroukh, Omar Shakir, and Mahamad Charawi, the company aims to offer invisible health tracking without forcing users to sacrifice style for functionality. The core innovation is a 2.7mm-thick, 7-gram sensor disc that attaches to the back of any watch using microsuction technology. This avoids the need for magnets or adhesives that could leave residue or interfere with mechanical watches, while collecting comprehensive biometric data like heart rate, sleep, and VO2 max. In addition to hardware, the accompanying app uses AI to analyze movement and integrate nutrition tracking. The platform connects lifestyle habits—such as late-night eating or workouts—directly to sleep quality and fitness performance.
