NHS supply lorry drivers to strike in pay dispute
Lorry drivers responsible for delivering essential medical supplies to hospitals across England are set to stage a series of strikes. The workers, employed by logistics firm GXO, have rejected a 4% pay increase offer, citing it as insufficient. The industrial action is scheduled to take place throughout October and November across multiple depots. While the union remains open to negotiations, both GXO and the NHS have stated that contingency plans are in place to ensure patient care remains unaffected.
