35 African Projects Head to Durban FilmMart's Co-Production Forum
The 17th Durban FilmMart is set to kick off its four-day program, bringing together industry professionals to spotlight the challenges and opportunities facing African cinema. A central feature of the event is the DFM Pitch and Finance Forum, which serves as a major launching pad for films seeking international financing and distribution. This year's selection features 35 projects from 14 African nations, spanning animation, fiction, documentary, and series. Notably, a significant majority of these projects feature women in key creative roles, reflecting a strong commitment to gender balance and regional representation.
