Italy’s RAI Inks Major Deal for Female-Led Titles Ahead of Mipcom
Italian public broadcaster RAI has secured a major package of international, female-led drama series from Beta Film ahead of the Mipcom market. The acquisition highlights the ongoing influence of European public broadcasters in driving television production and acquisitions despite tightening industry budgets. The newly acquired slate includes the U.S.-Canadian procedural 'Barton Vet,' the French thriller 'A Guilty Affair,' and the German period drama 'Mozart Mozart.' These series showcase prominent female characters and deep cross-border financial collaboration among major European networks.
