Journey Drummer Deen Castronovo Hospitalized After Leaving Concert
A Journey concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma, took an unexpected turn on Thursday night when longtime drummer Deen Castronovo had to be helped off the stage after performing just two songs. The band paused the performance while the musician was transported to a local hospital due to an unspecified medical emergency. Keyboardist Jonathan Cain addressed the concerned crowd during the interruption, asking fans to keep Castronovo in their prayers. Guitarist Neal Schon later returned to announce that the show would continue with the band's drum tech stepping in to finish the set.
