Aurora Supercomputer Powers Record-Breaking Cosmological Simulations
Researchers at the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory have utilized the Aurora supercomputer to execute two of the largest cosmological simulations in history. Each simulation mapped the evolution of 13.4 trillion dark matter particles over an expansive region spanning 28.6 billion light-years, marking a major milestone for high-performance computing in astrophysics.
