Alexa Can No Longer Control Aux Input on Amazon Echo Speakers

Amazon has reportedly removed the ability for Alexa voice commands to control playback for devices connected via the 3.5mm auxiliary input on older Echo speakers. Users can no longer use voice prompts to play or pause audio coming from line-in sources. This change, confirmed by an Amazon spokesperson, affects legacy hardware that previously supported this functionality. Users will now need to manage playback directly from the connected source device.

Amazon Alexa Plus keeps creepily singing ‘lalala’ for minutes on end

Users of the Amazon Alexa Plus smart speaker are reporting a bizarre and unsettling software bug. The devices have been observed spontaneously singing 'lalala' on a continuous loop for several minutes, often interrupting normal household activities. When users attempt to query the device about this behavior, the AI appears completely unaware of its actions. This glitch highlights the unpredictable nature of modern smart home assistants and the potential for software errors to cause eerie, unprompted interactions.
