Woman Poses as Male Reserve Soldier to Catfish Teenagers
An investigative television report uncovered an elaborate catfishing scheme where a 23-year-old woman assumed the online identity of a heroic reserve soldier named Orel Hazan. Operating under this fabricated persona, she maintained intense romantic relationships with multiple young women, including a 17-year-old, without ever meeting them in person. Family members grew suspicious when scheduled meetings were repeatedly cancelled under the guise of military deployments and injuries in Gaza. Eventually, relentless investigation by concerned relatives exposed the fraud, leading to a direct confrontation with the perpetrator, who confessed to the deception.
