Ancient Radio Galaxy Discovered From 12.5 Billion Years Ago

Astronomers have confirmed the discovery of a remarkably powerful radio galaxy originating from nearly 12.5 billion years ago. Designated TXS 2354+015, the source was initially identified as a high-redshift candidate due to its characteristic drop in optical light. Follow-up spectroscopy successfully placed the distant cosmic object at a redshift of 4.946. Details of this remarkable astronomical finding were shared on the arXiv preprint server.
