Pope Seen in First Photos Following Lung Cancer Surgery
The Vatican has published the initial photographs of Pope Leo XIV since he underwent a major medical procedure earlier this week at a Rome facility. The pontiff was captured holding a religious service from his hospital room, expressing gratitude to the physicians and nurses attending to him. Following the operation, laboratory evaluations confirmed a malignancy, though medical personnel report that his convalescence is proceeding favourably with positive imaging results.
