Uber and Pony.ai to Launch Robotaxi Service in London
Uber is expanding its autonomous vehicle footprint by partnering with Chinese firm Pony.ai to launch a robotaxi service in London. Testing of the Gen-7 vehicles is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. This move is part of Uber's broader strategy to integrate autonomous technology into its global ride-hailing network. The company is collaborating with over 30 partners to deploy driverless fleets in 15 cities by the end of 2026.
