Simcha Rothman Classifies Popular Movies on the Political Spectrum
Israeli lawmaker Simcha Rothman recently shared his unique political breakdown of famous films and superheroes during a media interview. He categorized works like The Lion King and Spider-Man as right-leaning, pointing to themes of personal identity, heritage, and individual responsibility. On the other hand, he labeled the musical Wicked and Superman as left-wing. Rothman argued that Superman's refusal to destroy evil figures completely reflects a progressive ideological stance, which eventually sparked a playful comparison to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
