Google Launches SynthID Website to Identify AI-Generated Media
Google has officially launched a public website allowing anyone to verify whether images, videos, or audio clips were generated by artificial intelligence. Previously restricted to select journalists and researchers, the tool is now broadly accessible. The platform supports a wide range of file formats for images, videos, and audio. It relies on Google's SynthID watermarking technology, which is integrated into models like Gemini and supported by industry peers such as OpenAI and NVIDIA.
