Travis Knight Reflects on 'Wildwood's 16-Year Journey
Laika's stop-motion fantasy epic "Wildwood" recently had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival. Director Travis Knight discussed the grueling and exceptionally long production process required for the film. Knight revealed that the project took 16 years to bring to the screen, noting that development began when Barack Obama was first in office. The painstaking stop-motion technique involved building thousands of tiny objects and capturing them frame by frame.
