Piano Boards Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s New Film Starring Tilda Swinton
The Mexican production house Piano, known for its work on the Palme d'Or winner 'Triangle of Sadness,' has officially joined the production team for Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s upcoming project, 'Jengira’s Magnificent Dream.' The film, which features Tilda Swinton in a leading role, explores themes of memory, time, and the supernatural as a Thai widow journeys to Sri Lanka to honor her late husband. Producer Julio Chavezmontes emphasizes that Piano remains dedicated to supporting unique creative visions rather than chasing mainstream trends. By fostering international collaborations and advocating for stronger government support for the Mexican film industry, the company continues to build a diverse portfolio that prioritizes artistic integrity and genuine storytelling.
