The Island of Lies: A High-Stakes Mystery Thriller Debuts at Mipcom
France TV Distribution is introducing the suspenseful six-part series 'The Island of Lies' at the Mipcom market. The story follows Emma, a woman who spent half her life imprisoned for a double murder she claims she did not commit. After a sudden legal development grants her a temporary release, she faces a frantic two-month countdown to clear her name before her case is finalized. Returning to the isolated Breton island of Kerlann, Emma must confront a hostile community and a son who believes she killed his father. The series, directed by Julien Seri and featuring Elisa Erka, blends elements of a family drama with a tense crime thriller, exploring themes of justice, isolation, and the struggle for redemption.
