Nia Long Joins Cast of Teyana Taylor's Directorial Debut 'Get Lite'
Acclaimed actress Nia Long has officially joined the ensemble cast for 'Get Lite,' the upcoming directorial debut from Teyana Taylor. The Paramount Pictures production, which is currently filming in New York City, features a talented group of actors including Storm Reid and Ceyair Wright. The narrative centers on a young dance student navigating personal growth and discovery within the vibrant subway culture of the city. This project marks a reunion for Long and Reid, who previously worked together on the 2023 thriller 'Missing.' With a scheduled theatrical release set for August 2027, the film is backed by a robust production team, including Kenya Barris and the creative collective known as The Aunties. Long’s involvement adds further prestige to the film, following her recent success in the record-breaking Michael Jackson biopic.
