Australia's First Michelin Stars Awarded to 11 Restaurants
Australia has officially entered the Michelin Guide, with eleven restaurants in South Australia earning stars. This milestone follows a strategic decision by the state government to fund independent inspections, effectively bypassing the lack of national participation in the prestigious culinary ranking system. The Magill Estate Restaurant in Adelaide achieved the highest honor in the region, securing two stars. Ten other establishments were awarded one star each, marking a significant boost for the local tourism industry and placing the region on the global gastronomic map.
