Lib Dems rally behind Ed Davey after recent frontbench resignations
Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has secured the backing of his parliamentary party following a tense meeting prompted by recent frontbench resignations. Two MPs stepped down over concerns regarding party direction and policy decisions, highlighting broader anxieties about national visibility. Despite internal grumbling, senior figures like Deputy Leader Daisy Cooper confirmed overwhelming support for Davey. The party is now aiming to enhance its digital strategy and focus on grassroots campaigning ahead of the next general election.
