Ultra-Orthodox and Reserve Soldier Meet in Documentary Series
Channel 2000's documentary series "Outside the Headlines," created by Dolev Davidovitch, brings together Moshe, an ultra-Orthodox man, and Kfir, a secular reserve soldier. They engage in a direct dialogue about sensitive topics dividing Israeli society, such as IDF recruitment and state symbols. The discussion covers identity, faith, public transportation on Shabbat, religion and state relations, and the definition of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state. Despite deep disagreements, the conversation reflects mutual respect and listening.
