Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef: Halachically Forbidden to Vote for Ben-Gvir
Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, the spiritual leader of the Shas party, has issued a stern warning against supporting the Otzma Yehudit party. In a formal letter, he characterizes the party's actions regarding the Temple Mount as a severe religious transgression and a violation of established Jewish law. The Rabbi argues that encouraging visits to the Temple Mount leads the public into committing grave sins. He explicitly calls for a boycott of the party in upcoming elections, asserting that providing them with political power is prohibited and constitutes a failure to uphold the traditional rulings of his late father, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.
