Rav Hirsch Warns Against Empowering Reform Movement in Israel
Leading Haredi rosh yeshiva Rabbi M.H. Hirsch has issued a stark warning regarding the potential consequences of protest voting or abstention in upcoming political elections. He emphasized that such actions could endanger traditional ultra-Orthodox educational institutions and pave the way for the institutional recognition of the Reform movement within Israel. According to Rabbi Hirsch, integrating progressive or Reform streams into the religious fabric of the country would deeply distort public perception. He cautioned that ordinary secular citizens might lose track of traditional Orthodox Judaism as the authentic standard of Jewish practice.
