Zelensky condemns 'vile' Russian attacks that left 22 dead

At least 22 people have been killed across central and eastern Ukraine following a massive overnight wave of Russian missile strikes. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky strongly condemned the bombardment, calling it one of Moscow's most vile attacks and noting it coincided with the Russian leader's birthday. The widespread strikes targeted major cities including Kyiv, Dnipro, Kremenchuk, Zaporizhzhia, and Oleksandriya, severely damaging residential buildings and energy infrastructure. Emergency services continue frantic rescue operations as residents remain trapped beneath the rubble of a destroyed five-storey apartment building in Pryluky.
