Omar Sy Discusses 'Lupin' Season 4 and His New Film 'Black Dumas'
French actor Omar Sy returns for the fourth season of Netflix's hit heist drama "Lupin," stepping into the role of co-showrunner alongside Louis Leterrier. Seeking greater artistic influence after past creative frustrations, Sy leveraged his return on the condition of holding direct decision-making power. This expanded authority enabled him to shape a bolder narrative, incorporate futuristic prison elements, and cast rising talent. Beyond his television success, Sy is preparing for his upcoming biographical feature "Black Dumas," directed by Ladj Ly. Set for release following the upcoming French presidential election, the movie explores the life of Thomas-Alexandre Dumas. Sy anticipates that the historical drama will provoke substantial political conversation across France amid heightened national tensions.
